INVITATION TO AN INTERNATIONAL APPLIED RESEARCH CONFERENCE

Dear Colleagues!

Ministry of Public Health of the Rostov Region, National Public Association of Russian Coloproctologists, Rostov State Medical University, and the Association of Surgery Specialists of the Rostov Region are hereby inviting you to take part in the international applied research Conference to be held during October 5-6, 2018.

BASIC TOPICS OF THE CONFERENCE:

                For participation in the Conference, we are inviting surgeons, coloproctologists, oncologists, gastroenterologists, endoscopists, and doctors of related specialities professionally working in the research, diagnostics, and treatment of pathologies of the rectum, colon, anococcygeal area, pelvic floor and perineum.

I.             Scientific topics of the Conference:

1.            General proctology

2.            Diagnostics and treatment of colorectal cancer

3.            Inflammatory intestinal diseases

4.            Colonopathy-associated purulent-septic infection

5.            Pelvic floor pathology

6.            Rehabilitation in coloproctology

7.            Endoscopic and minimally invasive technologies in coloproctology.

II.            Educational topics:

A professional advancement cycle within the applied research conference implementing the basic principles of continuous medical education (with official certificates of credits earned).

III.           Surgery masterclasses:

Clinical analysis, moderation and live surgery from operating rooms to the conference hall demonstrating modern methods of surgical treatment for colon cancer, pelvic floor pathologies, hemorrhoid problems, and chronic paraproctitis, applied by the leading Russian specialists.

Conference venue: Rostov State Medical University, 29 Nakhichevansky Ave., 344022 Rostov-on-Don, Assembly Hall of the Training and Laboratory Facility, lecture room of the 2nd Surgical Diseases Department.

Results of the Conference will be summarized in a collection of works to be published with assignment of a corresponding Russian Science Citation Index.

Abstract format requirements

Abstract text should be provided in the English/Russian language using no hyphenation, up to 2 A4 pages printed with 1,5 line spacing, portrait page layout, margins (left, right, top and bottom) – 2 cm each.  The text should be justified.

Abstracts will be accepted via email as attached files named to indicate the original author, city, and the file number without spaces or dots (SMITHLONDON1). Please specify "Modern coloproctology" in the Subject line of your email. Emails without the subject will not be reviewed.

Text format requirements:

•             Abstract files will only be accepted in .rtf, .doc, and .docx formats.

•             Please specify in the file: title, author, organization, city, and country.

•             Sections: actuality, purpose, materials and methods, results, conclusion (conclusions).

•             The file may NOT contain: tables, figures, references.

•             If multiple abstracts are offered, each is to be submitted separately.

•             Please specify "Modern coloproctology" in the Subject line of your email. Emails without the subject will be disregarded.

Abstracts will be published as they appear in the author's original text; the organization committee reserves the right to select works taking into account anti-plagiarism check results.
